Race to participate in the rat race
Striving for
Position
Money
Power


So alone in the world
Searching for that which will complete


Squeezing in your hand
Tossed with eyes closed tight

Throwing away what you desire
Wishing for what you cast


The power of such a gesture unrealized
The search continues indefinitely


Intimacy and loneliness
Balanced on a penny

Worth a thought
But not even worth an opinion.
